Removing Blood Stains from Carpet – Step-by-Step
You will need:
- Gloves and protective clothing
- Cold water
- Hydrogen Peroxide
- Spray Bottle
- Towels (preferably white)
Instructions:
- Mix 1 part cold water to 2 parts hydrogen peroxide – this is a safe, slow releasing oxidizer.
- Use cold water and a towel to remove most of the blood. Don’t rub, blot up as much of the blood as possible.
- After you’ve removed the excess, your carpet will still show a stain. Treat the stain with the oxidizer (water, hydrogen peroxide mix). Blot any excess liquid.
- Under perfect conditions, applying this oxidizer to the remaining stain will render it colorless.
