How often should I have my carpets professionally cleaned?
Most carpets work well with once a year cleaning. However, if you have do a lot of entertaining, have pets, or smokers in the home, it is best to have your carpets professionally cleaned every 6 months. Vacuuming your carpet only removes surface dirt. My deep cleaning process removes ground in dirt and odor.
If your pet has an accident, you should have the carpet professionally cleaned within 48 hours in order to prevent permanent damage and odor.
I’m careful about vacuuming my carpet. Why do I need to have it professionally cleaned?
I recommend you vacuum your carpets at least once a week. Even with great care, however, dirt, allergens and odors become ground into your carpet. Only a professional deep clean will remove ground in dirt to preserve the life of your carpet.

While I remove customer names to preserve their privacy, I will gladly share the original emails and letters with you upon request.
I’m not too keen on having strangers in my home. How do you address this?
I do not employ subcontractors. I personally am present on every job site.
How long will my carpet stay wet?
This depends on the thickness of your carpet, air circulation, and your home’s temperature. My customers are always pleasantly surprised by how quickly their carpet dries.
You say you use truck-mounted equipment. Why does this matter?
There are several reasons truck-mounted equipment matters:
- no heavy equipment being dragged through your home and banging up your walls,
- up to 10 times the suction power compared to portables,
- your carpet dries in hours instead of days,
- you get at least 5 times the cleaning power of older equipment.
Why should I care that your company belongs to IICRC?
The IICRC sets the standards for inspection, cleaning and disaster restoration, and is the industry organization mentioned by nationally syndicated consumer guru Clark Howard on his radio program and website.
Do you only serve residential clients?
I serve residential, commercial, and multi-units (duplexes, apartment complexes, etc.).

Fresh Start Home Services, Inc. offers carpet cleaning services to all of North Metro Atlanta. I focus on the following counties: North Fulton, Cherokee, Cobb, and Henry Counties.
